raised of a $20,000.00 goal
Hardship and neglect force destitute widows to send their children to the streets to hawk fruits and wares for survival. Most of the girl children fall victims of kidnap for ritual purposes, rape and other forms of sexual harassment leading to unwanted pregnancies. Most of the boys join bad gangs. Eventually, these children end up being street touts, prostitutes, armed robbers, kidnappers and general nuisance to the society.
They are out there roaming the streets, hopeless and helpless.
But they should be in school! Their destitute mothers cannot afford to send them to there. Consequently these women watch their dear children fall into the wrong hands.
Help For The Fatherless Scholarship Foundation (HFTFSF) is a registered non-governmental, non-religious, non-political and not-for-profit organization. We strongly believe that every child deserves equal educational opportunity (formal or vocational) to be the best he/she can be and every widow deserves a right to good living. Consequently, we have set out to extend these opportunities to the less privileged, especially the destitute children and widows.
It takes about $768 to pay the fees of a student in a Nigerian public university for the minimum 4 years such a student will spend in the school. The target of this fund is to see the possibility of sending at least 20 students to school within the 2018/2019 academic year. No amount is too small and none too big.
Together we can help them. Together we can let them know that when no one cares, Someone cares!
